The functionality of the futon has been adapted some in western culture. Although traditionally, the futon did not have a frame but law directly on the hard floor, it has been adapted and place on the frame. Most of the western world‘s variants have hard plywood or soft pinewood frames. A common incorporation is the futon couch. The couch looks like it has two large bags that are filled with soft things. One of the compartments is for your butt and the other is for your back, when it is in the seated position. It can be laid flat to resemble a bed when you want to sleep. More commonly, these are being added to children‘s rooms. Microfibers are used to prevent staining, and also help contribute to their popularity in kids‘ rooms as well as living rooms that have a lot of family traffic.
When buying a futon there are few considerations, the foremost being where you want to place the futon. If the answer is living room, then you need to look for a sofa bed futon which can be comfortable both during the day and night. One needs to first understand that a futon is actually a cotton padded mattress used for sleeping either on the floor or on a raised frame. After choosing the right kind of mattress, select a base frame which is convenient for folding and unfolding. For a full size futon, bi-fold frame style is the best. As the bi-fold frame utilizes the longer length of the mattress, it folds the mattress only once, providing a larger seating and sleeping space. But no matter how you sleep or sit and whether you‘re after a bed or a sofa, it‘s important that the futon sits on a slatted frame.
