If you have a small bedroom or you need an additional bed to be put up there are many types of beds available that help make the maximum use of the space. The bunk bed, loft beds, futons, Murphy beds, sofa beds, trundle beds are some of the many options available in the market. The bunk beds are a good option for the children‘s room. They are two beds one on top of the other held apart by support struts. Hence it gives you two beds in the space for one, freeing up area for the kids study and play. Of course safety precautions should be considered and the bunk beds should be used only for children above the age of six.
The resurgence of bed bugs has created a particularly vexing problem for the hospitality industry. Rooms that were pest-free one night can be infected by a guest the next. Legal experts have noticed a boom in bed bug litigation with guests suing hotels for millions of dollars. "Not only can a hotel get a terrible reputation for allowing the creepy crawly bed buddies to exist, but they can also lose out on a lot of dough," wrote a blogger on HotelChatter.com. Some lawyers are actually trawling for bed bug clients. A notice on InjuryBoard.com reads: "If you have been the victim of bed bug infestation, it may be important to contact an attorney who can help you protect your legal rights."
Sprung base beds have springs included in the bed frame which helps to give better support to the mattress. These types of bed will make your mattress last a lot longer because of this. There are many varieties of bed designs for children too such as beds shaped as cars, cabin beds, beds with computer desks attached or beds designed with your child‘s favorite character, to name a few. In order to give your bedroom a stylish quality, you should choose your bed with care. If you are buying a completely new set of bedroom furniture, it is a good idea to get matching items. If you are just replacing your bed, try to get one that will complement the existing furniture. This way you can ensure you have the perfect bed for you and that you have a room you will be glad to enter each night.
The second source of significant information comes from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The FDA issued a Safety Alert in August of 1995 regarding the entrapment hazards and safety concerns which accompany the use of bed side rails. The Safety Alert was communicated to hospital administrators, hospital associations, nursing homes, risk managers, bio-medical/clinical engineers, and directors of nursing. The Alert was not specific to any one manufacturer or particular design of side rail but warned health care providers that the FDA had received 102 reports of head and body entrapment incidents involving side rails between 1990 and 1995. The 102 reports of entrapment resulted in 68 deaths, 22 injuries, and 12 entrapments without injury. These unfortunate events occurred in hospitals, nursing homes, and private homes. The majority of the entrapments involved elderly patients.
