Futons are fast becoming one of the most sought after pieces of furniture for many homes these days. Gone are the days where futons are considered to be the "Jeeps" of home furnishings. Nowadays, with updated, modern styling, and health and sleep benefits that they provide, futons are fast becoming the "Mercedes-Benz" for the living room or bedroom. In a fast-paced, busy world, we‘re seeing a need to simplify our lives through convenience. More people are dining at fast-food chains (where even salads and fruits can be purchased for the health-conscious), shoes have incorporated wheels on the soles for riding around, and almost any products you can think can be purchased online at the comfort of your own home. With that said, people have found a way to make everyday living at their own homes more convenient; by replacing their conventional couches (and in some cases, their beds) with a futon.
Futons originated form the Japanese Culture. They were traditionally Japanese bedding. It was a thin mattress that they would roll out on their matt floors to sleep on at night and the next morning would roll them back up for the day. Since then the Futon bed as become westernized in America. During the day the futon is a comfortable couch or sofa and at night it transforms into and equally comfortable bed. Futons are affordable comfortable versatile and convenient way to maximize a small living space. They are a great solution for dorm rooms, small apartments, studios apartments and condos; Futons are two pieces of furniture made into one. During the day it used as comfortable sofa and for night is folds out into a comfortable bed. They are a great versatile piece of furniture to complement any household space.
